The basic story of Blood Diamond was that the guy named Soloman found a diamond and people down in Africa were crazy for diamonds and so were the whites , and because Soloman found the dimond , he had nothing to live for but his family so he made a bet on how if they gave him back his family (ALIVE) he would give them the blood diamond in exchange. The main characters of the story were Soloman , Danny Archer, and Mathy really. The reason for wanting the blood diamond was because it was most the most valuablist diamond they knew about i believe :)

The wars over the diamonds effected the chldren down in Africa because it turned them against so many people and for the children to be soooo young it is shameful on how they were taught how to do things and assacinate people. Another thing is , in Siera Leone the children were at first forced to do things they didnt want to. Such as kill people , such as their own family memebers and friends , just abput anyone they came around. Also because during their recrute , the children were sooo scared to the point were like they had no other choice but to do what they were told. For a minute i felt sorry for them but afterall they still didnt care because of they way they were treated and also because they way they were brought up. Another thing is that with the children , is they like really didnt know any better than what their recruttors taught them and plus they had them smoking , drinking and gambling at a young age , how dare they do such thing , they should be ashamed of themselves for doing that , how just how dare them.
